I began Family Harmony Therapy in Ventura County to help families in this community recover their sense of harmony and balance. Often, families that want to be in harmony instead find themselves struggling, again and again. I wanted my practice to reflect my unique skills and insight into the world of children with an emphasis on evidence-based and trauma-informed treatments for families with relationship and behavioral-related concerns. I have training in Parent and Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Child Therapy, Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy to assist me while working together with families and focus on healthy attachment and interactions.
I’ve always had an interest in children and families and what helps them to thrive. As a student, I embarked on this passion earning an undergraduate degree in early childhood development. Learning about healthy development in childhood expanded my understanding of how important it is for the family to be functioning optimally. This inspired me to continue my studies in the field of counseling psychology, where I earned my master’s degree in order to provide therapy for families in need of support.
My clients are motivated and committed to making changes in their family life and I love providing tools and techniques so that they can reach harmony. So if you’re feeling stuck in relational patterns that continue to play out poorly, you want to be connected to family members but don’t have the tools to manage family stress and tension, or you don’t know what else to do when your child is doing x, y, or z, you’ve come to the right place. I am so glad you’re here. On behalf of Family Harmony Therapy, welcome!
